Are you that smart?
07.29.04 (11:49 am)
Well, I took one of those IQ tests online. I thought I was smarter than that. I got a score of 133, when I was younger, my score was higher at 144. Does that mean I got dumber as I got older? What does this prove anyways? Would anyone hire you based on your IQ score? Well, it was a fun way to see if I can solve some puzzles. If you want to take the test, check out this link.

Here is another joke my friend sent me.

Corporate Lesson 1
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. After a few seconds of arguing over which one Should go and answer the doorbell, the wife gives up, quickly wraps herself up in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel that you have on."

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her 800 dollars and leaves.

Confused, but excited about her good fortune, the woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets back to the bathroom, her husband asks from The shower, "Who was that?"
"It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies.

"Great!" the husband says, "Did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?"

Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Corporate Lesson 2
A priest was driving along and saw a nun on the side of the road. He stopped and offered her a lift which she accepted. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to open and reveal a lovely leg. The priest had a look and nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.

The nun looked at him and immediately said, " Father, remember Psalm 129?"

The priest was flustered and apologized profusely. He forced himself to remove his hand. Changing gear, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?"

Once again the priest apologized "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak."

Arriving at the convent, the nun got out gave him a meaningful glance and went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to retrieve a bible and looked up Psalm 129. It said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Corporate Lesson 3
A sales rep, an administration clerk and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out in a puff of smoke.

The Genie says, "I usually only grant three wishes, so I'll give each of you just one.
"Me first! Me first!" says the admin. clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world." Poof! She's gone.

In astonishment, "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of pina coladas and the love of my life." Poof! He's gone.

"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, "I want those two back in the office after lunch."

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Corporate Lesson 4
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?"

The crow answered: "Sure, why not."

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

All of a sudden a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Corporate Lesson 5
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, but I haven't got the energy.

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull.

"They're packed with nutrients."

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Ireland, Ireland my heart is with thee....
07.25.04 (7:37 pm)
As promised, here is a story my travels. One of my favorite places in the world, without a doubt, is Ireland. Although I have no Irish blood in me, I wonder if I was an Irishman in the past life. I really feel comfortable and fit right in to the culture. I have been to Ireland several time, first time being in 1984 when I backpacked across Europe with a couple of friends. Last visit was a few years back, when these pictures were taken. I didn't take too many picture since I had a camcorder with me. I may post some movie segments later as well.

My girlfriend at the time and I decided to take a trip together. (We are still good friends today and we go out as friends all the time.) We have dated for a couple of years and we wanted to go somewhere special. She is 3/4 Irish so it was a trip for her to explore her heritage, a home coming of kind. She actually wanted to look up the town where her great, grandmother came from around 1880s. We actually got to visit the town and she looked up the baptismal records and found her and her twin sister. Interesting thing was, she was a year older than what my girlfriend thought she was. Our speculation was that she lied about her age by a year so she can get a good job in America.

Well, anyways. We were there for about 2 weeks total and rented a car to drive around rather than take a train. It was an interesting experience. First of all, I made a big mistake by asking for a mid size car, rather than a sub compact. The roads there are very narrow. This is typical of about 75% of the road there.

[image]eben_872914265.jpg[/image]

I never thought I would be able to fit all luggage in our car (I tend to travel light, guess whose luggages they were :D ) so I asked for a mid size car. Big mistake. I knew I was in trouble when driving around Dublin through narrows roads.

Secondly, the rental cars with an automatic transmission costs twice as much to rent due to expensive gasoline, or petrol as they say there. So, you had to drive a manual shift on the other side of the road. It took a bit of getting used to.

[image]eben_614060800.gif[/image]

Above is the map of our approximate route we took. The red line is the route. We started out in Dublin and made a counter clockwise circle of souther half of Ireland. My ex had a cousin who lived in Dublin so we spent a couple of days with them and they showed us around a bit but mostly we went around on our own. Of course no visit would be complete without a visit to the ol' Guinness factory and have couple of pints.

[image]eben_744024685.jpg[/image]

During our tour of Dublin, we came up on this structure. They call it the Whitehouse.

[image]eben_883339295.jpg[/image]

It's where the Prime Minister of Ireland, who happened to be a woman at that time, lived. It's a while house and we were told that if you look at one of the windows, there is a light that is lit 24x7. That is a call to sons and daughters of Ireland to come back home from wherever they may be. My ex got a bit teary eyed after that.

We left Dublin for the west coast of Ireland. Along the way we encountered a few spectacular sights that only Ireland can provide. Some are like these old castles in a middle of a town.

[image]eben_460808479.jpg[/image]

Some of the scenery of road is just spectacular as well. We noticed that even on a major roads, there are sheep everywhere. They just stand at a side of the road and graze as if there were no worries in their mind, just like most Irish we encountered.

[image]eben_287879635.jpg[/image]

We arrived at Connemara Nation Park area. It's one of most beautiful natural area in Ireland. Pictures just don't do justice to the area. We went to a place called Seven Bens. I thought they were honoring my visits there, but it turned out that Ben means mountain or hill in old Irish. It's a valley surrounded by seven mountains. One of the Bens shown here.

[image]eben_296792480.jpg[/image]

One interesting sight was something that looked like an excavation. The grounds were turned up and dug up.

[image]eben_1057162170.jpg[/image]

I had no idea what that was until I asked one of the rangers. She said that that clump of dirt is what they dig out to use as a fuel. I guess it burned like coal so they dig up the dirt, dry them and use it like a coal. Very interesting.

The area still had old Ireland feel to it. The houses still have thatch roof and we were lucky enough to see one being restored.

[image]eben_229344714.jpg[/image]

Couple of shots from near the Bed and Breakfast we stayed.

[image]eben_564396941.jpg[/image]

[image]eben_371654571.jpg[/image]

From there we decided to head south. Somewhere around that area, we ran into a beautiful church of some kind so we decided to stop by.

[image]eben_414532698.jpg[/image]

It was a beautiful abbey in front of a lake called Kylemore Abbey. It still is an Abbey for nuns and a boarding school for young ladies. The view was spectacular. There was a white cross at a top of the hill that I could see but I wasn't in a mood for a hiking up so we skipped that.

From there, we headed south to Cliffs of Moher. This has to be one of the highest cliffs I have ever seen my life.

[image]eben_88321607.jpg[/image]

It was so high, that most of the birds were flying at about half way up. No birds were up where we were. Also, using a binocular, we could the famous Puffins at the bottom of the cliffs. Those the birds with colorful beaks, like Toucan Sam on the cereal box. Very interesting.

We traveled through Southwestern parts passing through many small towns like Doolin, Killarney and Clonakilty. We were going to go to an island called Skellig Island, where old christian monks who were banished from the main land survived for several hundred years in little shelters made from rocks shaped like bee hives. They wrote the Book of Celts from that island and they stayed there until the 16th century. However, we just missed the ferry boat and we couldn't get there. It's my biggest regrets on the trip.

We then arrived in county Cork. One of my favorite areas of Ireland. We visited Cork City, where I spent many trips on business and from there we went down to Kinsale, one of the more picturesque town in souther Ireland. It's pretty much a tourist town now but it used to be quite beach town with great sea food when I visited in the 80s.

From there, we went to the Blarney Castle. It's claim to fame is the Blarney stone where up on kissing it, you will experience the Irish luck for the rest of your life. It was my 3rd time kissing it so I mush be the luckiest person on earth. :)

[image]eben_590020603.jpg[/image]

The hole you see at the top of the castle is where you kiss the stone. Used to be that you would hold a person over the outside of the wall to kiss the stone. Sometimes there would be an accident and people fell to their death. I guess the Irish luck wasn't with them since they haven't kissed the stone yet. Now, they just cut out the section and put a steel grates there to protect you. Much less of a risk.

The view from the top of this 16th century castle is breath taking.

[image]eben_45640959.jpg[/image]

It used to be you can look 360 degrees and saw nothing but rolling green hills. Now days, there are a lot of developments along those hills. You see a lot of houses which ruins the view a bit but still it's beautiful.

From Blarney, we traveled to a town called Cobh. This is a town centered around a beautiful church.

[image]eben_1336053712.jpg[/image]

One thing that is worth looking into is the museum dedicated to those who immigrated during the famine of late 1800s. it tells the story through real artifacts, models and pictures. It's really interesting to see.

From there, we went back to Dublin and back home. I still think about that trip and yearn to be back there. I will visit there again sometime soon. I wish it was sooner than later.

I skipped a lot of places and stories from the trip. It's been a while and I have forgotten some details and it would take pages and pages of writing to get the whole story. I hope you enjoyed this little story.

My memories
07.24.04 (10:33 pm)
I have been thinking about few things. One of my happiest time was traveling through Ireland with my ex-girlfriend for 2 weeks. I really enjoyed the experience of driving on the other side and driving through narrow streets with sheep grazing along the sides. I loved the greem country sides and incredible scenery. I will post in next few days the pictures and story of my trip to share with you all.

Ok, I feel much better after a good night's sleep. One more joke from my friend.

THE WEDDING TEST

My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year when we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, and my friends encouraged me. My girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me. That one thing was her younger sister.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight miniskirts, and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me, and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else.

One day little sister calls and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived.

She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she could not overcome and did not really want to overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister.

I was in total shock and could not say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top, she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me.

I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house and walked straight toward my car.

My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We could not ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family!"

The moral of this story is:
Always keep your condoms in your car.

A downer of a day
07.22.04 (10:52 pm)
This has been a weird day for me. I have had worse days but this ranks as one of bad ones. First, I went to play volleyball. I am not in a league but I show up hoping to sub in for people didn't show up. I hook up with a team who asked me to play since if I didn't play, they would have to forfeit the games. After 3 games, I was not happy. They were hogging the ball and I wasn't set once during the whole time. It seems they just wanted a body to fill. Then on the 4th game, they asked me not to play. They still didn't have a full 6 players but they still wanted to play with just 5. That really pissed me off. I know it's their team but it's so rude to do what they did to me.

So, I was in a bad mood coming back home, I called my sister. She's back in town after attending my cousin's wedding reception, a 2nd one, in Texas. As I was talking to her, she mentioned that my father was very unhappy that I didn't show up to see him. First of all, I got this message my father was sick from sister, right before she took off to Texas. I called and he was sleeping and was not able to talk to me. Now, he's pissed off that I didn't come to see him? Well, I was already in a bad mood but now it's gotten worse. My sister said that she doesn't want to get involved in the middle anymore and just leave her out of this.

My sister and I are on a totally different wavelength. She is almost an opposite of me. She's so much like my father and I am more like my mother. After she said she wanted both my father and me to leave her alone about these things. I felt alone. This is time when I was in a relationship, I can talk to my lover about issues I am facing but since I am not, it's hard to think about it. I don't know what is worse, being alone or being alone with issues that I can't talk to anyone about.

I am a very independent person. I don't like to ask for help from anyone. I would rather do things on my own than ask somone to do it for me. However, at times like this I wish I had friends I can tallk to. All my best friends are married and problems of their own with their families. This is going to be a hard time for me. I will survive though. I always have, I always will.

Enough of babbling.

Life in progress
07.21.04 (10:07 pm)
Well, I got a nibble on job front today. I was asked by someone to send in a resume. The job site I signed up with supposedly attached the resume it didn't. So, I got an email asking for a copy. It probably won't mean much but it's better than what I have been getting, which was big fat zero reponse. May be it's getting better out there.

I am spending money like crazy despite having no income. I gotta stop this but I need these things. I spent money on ink cartridge for my printer, boy are they expensive. Got a couple of books to teach my self javascript and XML. Those books are very expensive but good references. I took some good pictures at my cousin's wedding reception and I am going to print them out and make an album as a wedding gift. So, I bought a bunch of 4x6 glossy paper for my inkjet printer. They do look good.

Did I say I am a Mac man? I have had Apple since Apple II days. I also have PCs and a Windows based laptop but I do most of my work on an iMac and a G4 tower. After years, I finally decided to work on some old movies of mine. I have video taped some of the events in the past that I wanted to put them on a DVD. Apple sure makes it easy to do this. I edited the movie on iMovie and transferred it to iDVD. Then I just tried to burn them on a DVD and my trouble started. It just keeps on trying to burn it and locks up the machine. I will try to call Apple tomorrow to figure out what I need to do.

I have worked on a side as a graphic artist. I don't draw at all but with computer based tools, I can create some stuff. One day I will post some of the logos, business cards, CD covers and stuff here. I enjoy doing that kind of work, it excercises my other side of the brain.

Well, I am beat from playing 3 hours of volleyball tonight. I injured my wrist but I was very pleased with my playing tonight. I will try again tomorrow.

Today's joke. Again, I take no responsibility for the political correctness of this joke.

The girl was supposed to write a short story in as few words as
possible for her college class and the instructions were that it
had to discuss Religion, Sexuality and Mystery.

She was the only one who received an A+ and this is what she wrote:

"Good God, I'm pregnant, I wonder who did it."

I, Human
07.19.04 (4:52 pm)
Well, just came back from I, Robot. It was a movie that could have been much better if not for some obvious attempt at "Hollywoodize" the storyline. I did like the movie though, despite it's predictability and thin story line. It has been a while since I read the novel but I remember being a lot more captured about the story before. It was worth a matinee price, great special effects and the robot was really believable. I would recommend it. Rating: 7/10.

Well, I thought I'd give the old site a new look. The picture is a riverboat in Savanna, GA. I took that picture last time I visited Savanna, a beautiful city. It's a reminder that I need to travel more and see more new things. I hope the color scheme looks ok.

Update
07.18.04 (9:19 pm)
Well, finally called my father this afternoon to find out what happened. He was a sleep. My stepmother answered and said it was very serious. He had 106 degree temperature and was fighting the pneumonia the whole time. My father is retired and it seems Medicare did not cover the whole thing and had to pay $400 out of his own pocket. Well, remind to take a lot of vitamins. Yikes.

Right now, I am not ready to reveal why my relationship with my father is not really good. I will someday but not right now. I am having some difficulties expressing exactly what I am feeling about it. I do know what I feel, it's just tough putting them on a screen.

On another subject, currently, I am looking for a job. However, I am getting a bit discouraged about the job market. Whoever announced that the economic recovery is here is a moron. I sent out about 50 resumes and only two with acknowledgments. It used to be that I send out 10 resumes, I would be guaranteed for 3-4 interviews. Interviews! Now I am not even getting an responds to my resume. This is really bad.

I can hold out for another couple of months but then it will get serious. I am going to have to start calling in all my chips at this time. I hate doing that. I am a self sufficient person and don't like to ask for help. However, if this continues, I am going to have to call in a lot of favors. Bah.

Well, back to reality. I think I will go see I, robot tomorrow. Then to volleyball league tomorrow night. I can keep myself busy but this job thing is nagging me in the back of my head.

Another joke from a friend of mine. Again, I take no responsibility for the political correctness of the joke.

The new Marine Captain receives an assignment to a recon company in a remote post in the desert. During his first inspection, he notices a camel hitched up behind the mess tent. He asks the First Sergeant why the camel is kept there.

Well, sir," the sergeant replies, "As you know, there are 250 men here and no women. And sir, sometimes the men have . . urges. That's why we have the camel, sir."

The Captain says, "I can't say that I condone this, but I understand about urges, so the camel can stay."

About a month later, the Captain starts having a real problem with his own urges, so he asks the First Sergeant to bring the camel to his tent.

Putting a stool behind the camel, the Captain stands on it, pulls down his pants, and has sex with the camel. When he is done! , he asks the First Sergeant, "Is that how the men do it?"

"No sir," the First Sergeant replies. "They usually just ride the camel into town."

Bad MGM DVDs
07.18.04 (1:39 pm)
A quick complaint. It seems the MGM makes the worst DVDs in the world. Once I bought a DVD that said the special features of the movie was on the opposite side. The problem was the have printed the movie graphics on the other side. It was terrible. I went to their web site and sent in a complaint and I have heard nothing from them. I bought the new Pink Panther collection DVD. First I watched part of the first movie on my computer (I use both Mac and PC and tried both) and it seemed to work fine. However, when I play the same DVD on my DVD player, Pioneer Elite DV-37, the menu won't come up. If I press the enter, the movie will play but the player gets stuck on the menu.

I have never had DVD like that before. I guess I will look to see who makes them before I purchase the next DVD. :(

Another boring Saturday
07.18.04 (1:46 am)
Well, it's Saturday night (actually Sunday early morning) and it's been a slow day. I haven't talk to my father so I don't know what the deal is. I could not get a hold of him today. I will have to give him a call tomorrow. I am not sure if he's out of hospital or not. I don't even know which hospital he was at. Oh well. We will see.

Last night, I went to see the Producers, a Broadway traveling show. It was just fantastic. I have never laughed so hard at a show before. I have been to over 100 shows total and this was definitely the funniest I have ever seen. I thought the movie was funny, the show is twice as funny as the movie. I highly recommend it. Ten toes up.

I went to it with my "show" friend. She's a 22 year old drop dead gorgeous blond. She's the type that turns heads as she walks by. Unfortunately, or fortunately for me, she has a boyfriend who is near my age. He's an actor/singer, one of those artsy type. I think he's a loser but she loves him anyways.

She's the woman I call whenever I have tickets to a show and need someone to go with me. She really loves the theatre as much as I do. Not only she appreciates the arts, she has a phenomenal voice to boot. She really can belt out a song and have been in several college shows and sings in a choir. She actually tried out for the American Idol but didn't get a call back. I really thought she would make it.

Anyhow, she is just a sexpot, beauty and talent in one package. Not the most intelligent woman but sweet nevertheless. She and I can talk about anything. We flirt like crazy and everytime we see each other, she genuinely seem to have missed me and we have great time together. We just laugh with each other and we are totally at ease with each other. However, she just told me she is going to marry that loser once she's out of school.

Well, I don't know what to make out of our relationship. I know she's type that when we are out together, people wonder what the hell she is doing with guy like me. They probably assume I have tons of money and that's the reason why she's with me. I am in a quandry about this relationship. I am pretty sure that our relationship would probably won't work, we are too different in age and other things. However, we have so much in common as well. Of course there is that boyfriend of hers.

Anyways, this sure feels like a mid-life crisis to me. I am drawn to her in a very primal way but my logic stops me in my tracks. What to do, what to do. I probably won't do anything, I enjoy our friendship way too much. However, hmmm, who knows.

It's late and I am rambling. I will stop for now.

07.16.04 (2:35 pm)
I have a friend who collects and sends out a mass email with many jokes and humorous sites. I will see if I can post some of the good ones here once in a while. Remember, I claim absolutely no responsibility for the political correctness of these jokes. Here is today's post.

TRIPLE FILTER TEST
In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about your friend?"
"Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."
"Triple filter?"
"That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..."
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"
"No, on the contrary..."
"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really."
"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"
This is why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.
It also explains why he never found out his best friend was screwing his wife.

My father's woes
07.16.04 (2:20 pm)
I just got a call last night from my sister. It seems my father, who is 71 now, is in the hospital with a pneumonia. It's even more complicated because he's diabetic, it's hard to bring it under control. I have ambivalent feeling about that news. I do love father but he and I were never close. When my mother was still alive, god rest her soul, she was always the center of the communications. She would always say "your father wants you to do this" or "We are meeting next weekend for a family dinner". He never called me to tell me directly, always throught my mother.

Of course I would do the same, keeping my mother informed of all my plans but not directly to my father. She would tell him. Now that she's passed away, my sister, 4 years younger than me, has taken over that role. I am not sure if she really feels comfortable with that role, but she does it partly because I think that is the only way the family can be together and partly because no one else would do that.

She always have been the mother hen of the family. I have about 15 cousins in my family, just from my father's side. My father had 5 siblings and couple of them remarried so our family grew a lot. My sister has been the one who kept up with who's doing what and instigates our cousin's get togeher. There is a big gap between our generation and my father's generation and she was always the bridge that kept the two sides together.

Back to my father. I am not sure if I will visit him today. He doesn't know if he's staying another night or coming home. I have a plan tonight. I have tickets to go see the Producers. It's a traveling broadway cast so it should be good. Maybe I will give him a call tomorrow.

Brand new start
07.15.04 (11:38 am)
Well, here it is. My first blog entry. I have no idea what to do or say but I figure this would be used as a place to put my thoughts for posterity. I am not a good writer, heck I was an Engineering major in undergrad. I barely passed my bonehead English classes but over the years I learned, or forced into, write better.

First, introduction would be a good thing. I am 42 year old male, living in Silicon Valley, CA. My job is in Management, worked for a few high tech companies in the past. I have been a VP of Marketing for a start up company most recently. Currently, I am not working and thought this would be a good time to fill up some time.

My interests varies. I love experiencing new things in life. I am type who would try new things first then think about the consequences later, sometimes that gets me in to trouble. Some of my interestes include ethnic food, music, movies, traveling (been to Europe several times), musicals, concerts, volleyball (play twice a week at fairly high level), golf, tennis, EQ and a lot more. I tend to get into something then lose interest, then move on to other new exciting things. However, I have kept a few interests since college days, love of food, travel, volleyball and golf.

My political view tend to be moderate, socially liberal and fically conservative. I have worked in mental health area, ie conseling, for many years and it's hard for me to turn away from many of the people who have suffered. However, when it comes to business side, I tend to favor more conservative approach, less goverment and more business centric.

I tend to make friends quickly but I only have few very special friends that I call my life friends. They are ones I can talk to a year later and still felt like it's only been a few days. I can be myself and open about my thoughts. I tend to think about myself as a chameleon. I can adapt to any situation fairly quickly. I have more of a width of knowledge then depth, so I can blend in to any converstation and fit right in. However, I tend to guard my inner most thought to myself.

Well, I don't want to write a novel overnight. I will try to keep this up. I never was a person for a diary but maybe this is a good start to keep my thoughts in order.

I am just a man trying to struggle through this thing called life. I am 42 year old, living in Silicon Valley, CA. I am single and enjoying life as it throws curve balls at me at time. I still feel like a teenager, although I have to take some Advil once in a while. Other than that, Carpe diem, carpe nocturn.
